Their calendar is very helpful. That's the only thing you can use on their site. The rest, forums and their ads, are house of trolls and scams.
My experience with Forex Factory has left me with serious concerns about the platform, particularly regarding the brokers it promotes and what happens when users publicly criticize Forex or certain brokers.
In my view, Forex Factory gives visibility and credibility to brokers that I believe traders should be extremely cautious about. A well-known financial community should be particularly careful about which brokers it promotes or provides exposure to, because inexperienced traders may interpret that visibility as a sign that those companies are trustworthy.
What concerned me even more was the reaction to critical posts.
After posting criticism related to Forex, I encountered accounts that appeared to have nothing officially to do with Forex Factory. They used what appeared to me to be fake or misleading profile identities and responded with trolling, hostility, and what I regarded as threatening or intimidating behavior rather than addressing the substance of the criticism.
The impression I was left with was deeply troubling: these accounts presented themselves as ordinary independent users, but their behavior made me question whether they were genuinely independent.
To be clear, I cannot independently prove who operates those accounts or establish that Forex Factory controls them behind the scenes. However, based on what I personally experienced, I believe the pattern deserves scrutiny. If these accounts are genuinely independent, Forex Factory should still explain why threatening or intimidating conduct toward critics is tolerated. If they are connected in any way to people associated with the platform, that would obviously raise much more serious transparency concerns.
A financial discussion platform should welcome legitimate criticism, enforce its rules consistently, and make a clear distinction between independent community discussion and commercial relationships with brokers.
My advice to traders is simple: do your own research before trusting a broker merely because you see it promoted or prominently featured on Forex Factory, and be cautious about assuming that aggressive forum accounts necessarily represent ordinary, independent traders.
Based on my experience, I no longer consider Forex Factory a platform where criticism of the Forex industry can necessarily be expressed without concern about hostile retaliation..
