Why Open Review Platform? ⚖️

A fairer review ecosystem — where consumers can speak and businesses can answer without a paywall.

Online reviews should create accountability — not leverage.

Public reviews can help people make better decisions and encourage businesses to improve. But a review platform also has a responsibility to protect the integrity of that conversation. Reviews should come from genuine experiences, businesses should have a meaningful opportunity to respond, and moderation should not depend on who can afford the largest subscription.

Open Review Platform was created around a simple principle: fair participation should not be a premium feature. Some major review platforms charge businesses for advanced reputation-management tools, and high-tier commercial plans can be expensive. We believe a business should never have to pay simply to tell its side of the story, challenge content it believes violates policy, or provide evidence to moderators.

💬 Free to respondVerified business representatives can publicly answer reviews without paying us.
🚩 Free to disputeBusinesses can professionally report questionable reviews and provide supporting evidence.
🧾 Evidence mattersWhen a review is disputed, reviewers may be asked to substantiate that a genuine experience occurred.
⚖️ Same moderation rulesPaying Open Review Platform can never buy a better rating, silence criticism, or change a moderation decision.

Protecting both consumers and legitimate businesses

Fake reviews, coordinated attacks, conflicts of interest, impersonation and harassment can cause real harm. At the same time, genuine negative experiences must not be suppressed merely because a business dislikes criticism. Our goal is therefore not to automatically side with reviewers or businesses. It is to build a system where credible experiences are heard, disputes can be examined, and both sides can present relevant information.

When appropriate, Open Review Platform can request supporting information from a reviewer during a dispute. A business report does not automatically remove a review, and a business cannot purchase removal. Moderation decisions are intended to follow the platform's rules and available evidence.

A different business model

We want reputable businesses to spend their money improving their products, serving customers and supporting employees — not paying a review platform for the basic ability to participate in a conversation about their own business.

Free tools for webmasters 🧰

Open Review Platform is also becoming a practical webmaster toolkit. Verified businesses can use free website traffic analytics, optional public counters, uptime and response-time monitoring, SSL certificate monitoring, downtime/recovery alerts, optional public uptime badges and an on-demand Site Speed Checker from the same Business Center used to manage reviews.
