How can we help?

Everything Open Review Platform currently offers—including Businesses, People, Movies, Books, Trailers, live discovery, participation, moderation and business tools—organized into simple step-by-step instructions. Pick what you want to do and follow the numbered steps.

🚀

Getting started

5 practical guides

Find a business or website on ORP

  1. Open the business directory.
  2. Search by business name, website/domain, category or country—even if the website is currently offline or unfamiliar.
  3. Open the profile to read reviews and status/transparency information, write a review or find owner tools. Remember: being listed on ORP is not an endorsement.
# Direct link

Add a business or website for review

  1. Go to Add or find a business.
  2. Enter the business website/domain. ORP normalizes the domain and checks for an existing profile so reviews are not split across duplicates.
  3. For a new manual listing, ORP performs a live website check. When the website passes, clicking Add / Find publishes the profile immediately — no submission email and no admin approval are required.
  4. Sensitive or age-restricted websites, including adult or gambling sites, may be listed with a clear visitor warning rather than excluded merely because of their category. The warning and the listing do not constitute an ORP endorsement, safety guarantee or legal judgment.
  5. Claiming is separate from listing: for ordinary corporate domains, a matching business-domain email verifies business affiliation and unlocks the Business Center and Webmaster Tools. Strong administrator-control verification by DNS, website file/meta tag, or ORP manual review remains available as an optional higher-authority verification.
  6. If an already-listed website later becomes offline, parked, redirected or bot-protected, its historical review profile may remain available.
# Direct link

Understand website status and warnings

  1. A profile can show that a website is active, redirected, bot-protected, parked, offline or unreachable based on ORP’s latest automated check.
  2. Treat this as a point-in-time technical signal only: an offline site may return later, and an automated check can also be blocked or time out.
  3. ORP keeps reviewable historical profiles instead of automatically deleting them because of availability.
  4. For age-restricted or sensitive categories, read the on-page warning before choosing whether to visit the external website.
# Direct link

What an ORP listing means

  1. A listing means ORP has a profile where people can find information and submit reviews; it does not mean ORP endorses or recommends the entity.
  2. An Unclaimed profile has not been claimed through ORP by an authorized representative.
  3. A Verified signal confirms the applicable identity/control check; it is not a guarantee of quality, safety or conduct.
# Direct link

Use ORP without a password

  1. Open Manage Your Participation.
  2. Enter the same email you used for a review, reply, business access or eligible People-profile access.
  3. Use the secure link ORP emails you to reopen only the tools and content connected to that verified email.

Business reviews & reviewer tools

4 practical guides

Post a review

  1. Find the business and open its profile.
  2. Scroll to Write a review, choose a rating and describe your genuine experience.
  3. Submit the review, then click the confirmation link ORP sends to your email.
  4. If moderation is required, the review publishes after that process. Read the Review Guidelines before posting.
# Direct link

Edit or delete your review

  1. Open Manage Your Participation and request a secure link for the email used on the review.
  2. Open the review management controls from that link.
  3. Edit or delete when those rights are available. A review involved in an active moderation finding may have editing/deletion temporarily locked.
# Direct link

Vote on helpful reviews

  1. Open any business profile from the business directory.
  2. Use the 👍 or 👎 controls on a published review.
  3. Clicking the same vote again removes your vote; choosing the other direction changes it.

Reply to another business review

  1. Open a published business review and choose Reply to this review.
  2. Enter your name, private email and reply; you may attach one permitted image.
  3. Confirm the reply from ORP’s email. Ordinary replies can publish after automated safety screening; suspicious replies are held for administrator review.
  4. The original reviewer is notified after publication, and you can later edit/delete your reply through Manage Your Participation.

Business profiles, claiming & verification

4 practical guides

Represent or administer a business profile

  1. Find and open the business in the business directory.
  2. Choose I represent this business. For ordinary domains, a matching business-domain email verifies business affiliation and unlocks the Business Center and Webmaster Tools.
  3. Strong administrator-control verification is an optional higher authority signal. Use DNS TXT, /.well-known file, HTML meta tag, approval by an existing strongly verified administrator, or ORP manual verification to become a Verified Business Administrator.
  4. Public/shared email-provider domains cannot establish affiliation merely from an @domain mailbox; they go directly to strong control verification after contact-email confirmation.
# Direct link

Verify business administrator control

  1. First verify representative access when the domain supports private corporate email.
  2. Business-email verification unlocks the Business Center and Webmaster Tools. For an additional administrator-control signal, you can place ORP’s unique token in a DNS TXT record, /.well-known/orp-verification.txt, or an HTML meta tag; ORP Admin can also verify manually.
  3. Strong administrator verification records a higher level of control verification and can display the administrator authority status. The Business Center itself is already available after eligible business-email verification. Verification confirms control—it is not an ORP endorsement. See the Business Guidelines.

Update business information

  1. Open Business Center through your verified business access.
  2. Select the business and the profile/details area.

  2. Use the team/access controls to invite an authorized colleague when available.
  3. The invited person confirms through the secure email invitation; never share your own secure access link or API key.

Replies, disputes, evidence & appeals

4 practical guides

Reply to a customer review

  1. Open the review on your business profile.
  2. Choose Business owner? Reply / report / dispute this review, or open the review from Business Center.
  3. Write a professional factual response and submit it.
  4. The public response appears with the review when accepted. See How Moderation Works.
# Direct link

Report or dispute a review

  1. Open the review-management tools from the public review or Business Center.
  2. Choose the relevant report/dispute reason and explain the issue specifically.
  3. Submit the dispute. ORP may request private evidence from one or both sides instead of deciding from the complaint alone.
  4. Follow the case through the secure workflow. Read the Moderation Policy.
# Direct link

Submit requested evidence

  1. Open the secure evidence/request link ORP sent to the relevant email.
  2. Provide only evidence related to the disputed experience or business response.
  3. Submit it privately; ORP does not publish the private evidence itself.
  4. Read the Evidence Policy for what ORP considers and how evidence is handled.
# Direct link

Appeal an eligible moderation decision

Ask customers for genuine reviews

  1. Open your business in Business Center and choose the Growth / review-acquisition tools.
  2. Create the review link, QR code, printable material or invitation method you want.
  3. Share it with customers neutrally—do not screen for happy customers or reward positive ratings.

Publish a Business Article

  1. Verify the business to an eligible level, then open Business CenterArticles.
  2. Create the article with useful original content and permitted links/images.

  2. Choose the business update/publishing tool, write a factual update and submit it.

Understand AI-enriched business profiles

  1. Read AI Business Profiles for how ORP can enrich eligible profiles from permitted factual sources and ORP data.
  2. Business owners should keep their public business information accurate; ORP can refresh eligible AI profile content periodically.
  3. AI-generated profile material remains subject to readiness/safety controls and should not be treated as business endorsement.

People Reviews

11 practical guides

Review a person

  1. Open the People directory and search for the person.
  2. Open the person profile and choose Direct Experience if you personally interacted/worked/dealt with them, or Public Assessment for an opinion about publicly observable work or conduct.
  3. Write the review, optionally attach one permitted photo, submit it and confirm your email.
  4. Read the People Review Guidelines.
# Direct link

Add a person profile

  1. Open People and start typing the person’s full/public name in Add a person. ORP dynamically checks existing ORP profiles and searches public People sources for likely identity matches.
  2. Existing ORP matches are shown first to prevent duplicates. Public candidates can show a photo, full name and identity description, but only candidates confirmed by Wikidata as a human are offered.
  3. If the intended person appears, choose that identity. ORP fills the identity fields and validates the selected human entity again when you submit. Leave About blank if you want ORP to generate an original 70–140 word profile summary from verified public-source context; manually written About text is preserved.
  4. The suggestion image is for identity selection only; ORP does not copy an arbitrary web thumbnail as the profile photo. No submission email is required to add the directory profile. Uploaded photos still require Public Domain/CC0 rights confirmation; if no photo is uploaded, ORP tries the exact Wikipedia/Wikidata identity immediately and then hands unresolved profiles to People Photo Maintenance.
# Direct link

Represent a person profile

  1. Open the person profile and use Represent this profile.
  2. Enter the person/representative name and verification email, then complete the secure email verification.
  3. Verified representation enables person-profile response/reporting functions only. It does not open Business Center or webmaster tools.
# Direct link

Reply to a People review

  1. Open a published People review and choose Reply to this review.
  2. Enter your name, private email and reply; an optional permitted image can be attached.
  3. Confirm the reply from the email ORP sends. Ordinary replies can publish after automated safety screening; suspicious replies wait for administrator review.
  4. The original reviewer is notified after publication.
# Direct link

Manage People reviews and replies

  1. Open Manage Your Participation with the same email used for the review or reply.
  2. Use the secure link to open your content area.
  3. Edit or delete eligible People reviews and your own replies from the corresponding People content controls.
# Direct link

Report identity, privacy or profile-safety problems

  1. Open the person profile and find Wrong person, photo or safety problem?.
  2. Choose the specific reason: mistaken identity, wrong photo, private person, minor, exposed personal information, impersonation, harassment/threats or other.
  3. Explain the issue and optionally provide a supporting public source/private follow-up email.
  4. Verified representatives should use Person Profile Center for factual metadata corrections. Read People Safety & Transparency.
# Direct link

Follow a person for new-review alerts

  1. Open a People profile and find Follow this person.
  2. Enter your private email and confirm the follow request from ORP’s email.
  3. ORP emails you when a new review or Public Assessment is published for that profile.
  4. Use the unsubscribe link in the confirmation/update email whenever you want to stop following. Following does not imply endorsement.
# Direct link

Discover related People

  1. Use autocomplete in People to find a profile quickly by name, profession or country.
  2. Browse field hubs such as Film & television, Sports, Politics, Science, Media or Crime & notorious cases.
  3. Every category has its own Search this category field, so a search stays inside the selected field rather than searching the entire People directory.
  4. Person profiles can show Similar People to explore, while the People directory surfaces recently discussed and newly added profiles without inflammatory popularity rankings.
# Direct link

Understand People review integrity signals

  1. Autocomplete shows stronger identity context such as photo, profession, country, representation status and public-source domain when available.
  2. Cited sources can be labeled by broad source type; the label is context and not a truth score.
  3. Material review edits keep an internal revision history and may return to moderation.
  4. Unusual review bursts or matching protected network/device/text signals are held for human review rather than automatically rejected.
  5. Admins can merge duplicate profiles while preserving an old-slug 301 redirect to the surviving profile.
# Direct link

Keep the People directory human-only

  1. Automatic People imports require Wikidata instance of human (Q5) confirmation instead of trusting category membership alone.
  2. Obvious event/case/list titles are rejected before import.
  3. Admin → People → People Entity Integrity Scan can rescan existing records in batches.
  4. Open Admin → Entity Results for permanent totals, search, classification/profile filters, dynamic pagination, reasons, Wikidata IDs, quarantined records, and individual or bulk restore/quarantine actions.
  5. Confirmed non-person records are quarantined (hidden), not deleted; uncertain records remain available for administrator judgment.
# Direct link

Monitor People directory quality

  1. Open Admin → People Quality for a directory-wide quality/resilience dashboard.
  2. It tracks profile-photo coverage, authoritative-source coverage, useful descriptions, identity-confidence attention, moderation pressure and duplicate-name groups.
  3. The quality queue is diagnostic only: automated signals do not silently delete profiles or become factual judgments.

Movies & movie reviews

8 practical guides

Find and review a movie

  1. Open the Movies directory and search by title, actor, director, country or genre.
  2. Open the correct movie profile and review its title, year, country, genre, director and cast information before posting.
  3. Choose Review this movie, give the required overall rating and optionally rate story, acting, direction, cinematography and music / soundtrack.
  4. Write your review, submit it, and confirm your private email from the message ORP sends you. Email verification is required before the review can proceed through publication/moderation.
# Direct link

Browse and watch Movie Trailers

  1. Open Movie Trailers to browse movies on ORP that currently have a cached trailer.
  2. Use search and the genre, country, year and sorting controls to find something to watch.
  3. Click the trailer thumbnail or Play trailer to load the privacy-enhanced YouTube player inside ORP. ORP deliberately does not load every video player when the page first opens, which keeps the trailer wall fast.
  4. Use View & Review Movie below any trailer to open its ORP movie profile, or Watch on YouTube to open the video at its source.
  5. Trailer availability is controlled by the video owner. If a video is removed or embedding becomes unavailable, ORP’s Trailer Maintenance Center can refresh the cached trailer information.
# Direct link

Add a movie that is missing

  1. Search Movies first so the same title is not added twice.
  2. If it is missing, open Add a Movie and start with the movie title.
  3. Use ORP’s public-source suggestions to select the correct movie identity when available, then review the imported/found metadata such as release year, country, genre, director and principal cast.
  4. Complete the required identity/metadata fields and submit the movie. No submission email is required to add the directory profile. Movie profiles are separate from Business and People profiles, even when actors or directors already have People profiles on ORP.
# Direct link

Understand movie ratings

  1. Every published movie review has an Overall rating.
  2. Reviewers can also score Story, Acting, Direction, Cinematography and Music / Soundtrack when those dimensions are relevant to their review.
  3. The movie profile combines published ratings into summary averages. These scores reflect ORP reviewers’ opinions; they are not ratings created or endorsed by ORP.
# Direct link

Reply to a movie review

  1. Open a published movie review and choose Reply to this review when the reply control is available.
  2. Enter your name, private email and reply, then submit it.
  3. Confirm the reply from ORP’s email. Ordinary replies may publish after automated safety screening; replies needing judgment can be held for administrator review.
  4. The reply author can later manage eligible replies through Manage Your Participation.
# Direct link

Manage your movie review or reply

  1. Open Manage Your Participation and enter the exact email used for the movie review or reply.
  2. Open the short-lived secure link ORP emails you.
  3. Use the content-management controls shown for eligible movie contributions. No conventional ORP password account is required.
# Direct link

Understand movie-review moderation

  1. Movie reviews are user-submitted opinions and are not written or endorsed by ORP.
  2. Email verification confirms control of the submitted email; it does not prove that an opinion is correct.
  3. Reviews and replies can be screened or moderated under ORP’s general content and community rules.
  4. Use factual, relevant language about the movie and avoid threats, harassment, doxxing, impersonation or knowingly false factual claims about real people.

Books & discovery

6 practical guides

Browse the Books directory

  1. Open Books.
  2. Search by book title, ORP author, publisher or ISBN; use year, Amazon-link and sorting filters when useful.
  3. Each card links back to the author’s ORP People profile and to its public bibliographic source. Where ORP has a useful Amazon destination, the card also provides an Amazon action.
  4. Books is currently a discovery/catalog feature connected to People profiles—not a separate ORP review directory.
# Direct link

Understand books on a People profile

  1. When ORP finds a confident public bibliographic match for a person, the title can appear in that person’s Books section.
  2. Open Library-authenticated authorship/history can remain useful even when a title is old, out of print or not currently sold by Amazon.
  3. The site-wide Books directory uses the same saved person-book relationships, so Automation does not maintain a second duplicate book database.
# Direct link

Explore Movies by type

  1. Open Movies and use Explore by type to browse Feature films, Documentaries, Short films, Television movies and Animated features when those types contain active ORP profiles.
  2. Each type hub has its own live search and pagination. Legacy film records are grouped with Feature films so older profiles do not disappear into a duplicate category.
# Direct link

Find a movie that is not yet on ORP

  1. Start typing in the top Find movies field or the Add a movie form on Movies.
  2. ORP continues showing live matches from its own directory and can also show a separate public-source suggestion panel for titles that may not yet be on ORP.
  3. Choose the correct public suggestion to open the full Add Movie form with the selected identity and available metadata prefilled, then review the information before submitting.

Managing participation, drafts & email updates

13 practical guides

Manage reviews received by your business

  1. Open Manage Your Participation with the same verified business-owner email, then open My Content.
  2. Under Your businesses/sites 🏢, use Manage Your Business Reviews or scroll to Reviews of Your Businesses 🏢. This is different from Your business reviews, which means reviews you personally wrote about other businesses.
  3. For every review received by a business you manage, you can see the review and conversation, publish/update the official 🏢 Business response, and use the available Report / Dispute controls.
  4. Official Business responses also appear in Your replies 💬, so replies remain manageable in one consistent place.
# Direct link

Understand review conversations and replies

  1. ORP permits one review per reviewer for each profile. Replies are a separate conversation beneath that review, so discussion and updates do not require creating another review.
  2. The original reviewer and other verified participants can reply where the conversation controls are available; Business/People/Movie representatives can use their authorized response tools.
  3. After email confirmation, a reply may publish after screening or wait for a quick administrator check. ORP shows that status beside the exact conversation you were returned to, so you do not need to submit the reply again.
  4. Use Manage Your Participation to reopen replies connected to your verified email. If a review is permanently deleted by its reviewer or by ORP Admin, replies and reply-thread records attached to that review are deleted too.
# Direct link

Replies, reports & disputes for a business review

  1. Open Manage Your Participation with the verified business email, then use My Content → Your businesses/sites → Manage Your Business Reviews, or open Business Center → Reviews.
  2. For a received review, use an official Business response when another perspective helps readers. A public response is different from a private report/dispute.
  3. Use Report / Dispute for a policy, integrity or moderation issue and attach relevant private evidence when needed. Private evidence is not automatically published.
  4. Use Your Review Reports/Disputes to follow case status, administrator action and available resolution notes. ORP can email the verified business contact when an important decision is recorded.
# Direct link

Track business review reports and disputes

  1. A verified business can report/dispute an eligible review from its consolidated review-management page or Business Center.
  2. Open Your Review Reports/Disputes from the business-management area to see cases submitted for businesses you manage.
  3. The history can show the report status, administrator action and available resolution notes, including outcomes such as keeping or removing the review.
  4. ORP can email the verified business contact when the administrator takes an action on the report/dispute.
# Direct link

Take your time: drafts, ORP Shield and safe submission

  1. Long review, reply and Add Business/Person/Movie forms protect normal fields in the current browser tab as you work. A subtle Draft saved ✓ indicator can appear after work begins.
  2. After you interact with a protected form, ORP keeps the secure session/CSRF token alive in the background instead of forcing you to finish quickly.
  3. ORP Shield verifies most normal submissions with first-party checks. Elevated-risk activity can receive a lightweight local proof; higher-risk cases may use a time-bounded Turnstile fallback. If connectivity or a fallback fails, the draft remains available so you can retry.
  4. A browser cannot automatically restore a file input after a full reload, so photos/documents may need to be selected again even when the text and ratings are restored.
# Direct link

Change Theme & Display settings

  1. Use the floating Theme control to change the public ORP appearance.
  2. Choose System, Light or Dark, then adjust the available accent, background and brightness/display controls to suit the current device.
  3. Theme & Display preferences are saved in this browser; they are not a promise that the same appearance follows you to every device.
  4. Use the reset/default control when you want to return to the standard ORP presentation.
# Direct link

Switch languages and understand ORP language apps

  1. Use the language links/selector to move between the English, Spanish and Persian public apps.
  2. Each language app has localized public content and keeps its own reviews, ratings, replies and community/private participation records rather than merging them into another language database.
  3. When ORP has a confirmed identity bridge, equivalent Business, People or Movie profiles can link to one another across languages.
  4. For Businesses, strong public verification can synchronize only across confirmed high-confidence exact-domain counterparts; contacts, encrypted email, access tokens, sessions, reviews and other private/community data are not copied.
# Direct link

Choose a public Person identity safely

  1. Search People, the People box on the home page, or Add/find People in My Content. ORP always checks its own People directory first.
  2. When no suitable ORP profile exists, ORP can show Possible people found on the web · Is one of these the person you mean? using Wikipedia/Wikidata public identity data.
  3. Only candidates positively confirmed by Wikidata as human (Q5) are offered as selectable People identities. Successful identity checks are cached so the same public figure is not dependent on repeated external lookups.
  4. After choosing Add this person, the Add Person page keeps the selected public identity visible so you get a second opportunity to verify it before creating the profile.

  1. When you participate through an email-confirmed activity, ORP may enroll that email in the optional educational series.
  2. Each educational email has two parts: guidance related to the activity that brought you to ORP, plus Did you know? information about another ORP feature you have not yet been introduced to.
  3. ORP tracks which current features have already been introduced and normally sends no more than one educational email per day. The daily series stops when the current feature catalog is exhausted or you unsubscribe.
  4. When ORP later adds or materially changes a participant-facing feature, eligible previous participants can receive an optional What’s new on ORP notice.

Activity notifications for profiles you participated in

  1. Reviewing or replying on a Business, Person or Movie profile can establish interest in that profile for optional activity notifications.
  2. When another relevant review/reply is later published on the same profile, ORP may notify previous participants so they can return to the conversation.
  3. ORP suppresses duplicate generic activity notices when a more specific direct-reply/representative-response email is already being sent.
  4. Use the link in an ORP email or Email Preferences to control daily education, profile-activity notifications and new-feature announcements separately.

Contact ORP or send Feedback with useful context

  1. Use Contact for a support message; you can optionally attach one JPG, PNG, WEBP or PDF up to the displayed limit. Use the floating Feedback tool when reporting product feedback/bugs and attach a screenshot when helpful.
  2. These submissions are stored for the ORP team in a secure Admin Messages inbox. ORP team replies are sent through ORP and include a copy of your original message so the conversation keeps its context.
  3. For support/abuse prevention, the submission can privately include your IP address, recent ORP page journey in that browser session and existing ORP participation associated with the supplied email. URL query parameters are stripped so private access tokens are not copied into this support context.
  4. Do not upload passwords, private access links or unnecessary sensitive information. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.

Identity-safe discovery, profile sorting & language counterparts

3 practical guides

Understand when a Business, Person or Movie is already on ORP

  1. ORP now reconciles its own directory results with public suggestions before presenting an entity as new.
  2. For Businesses, the canonical duplicate identity is the exact normalized domain. For People, local normalized-name matching can surface candidates, but a public suggestion is treated as the same existing person only after exact Wikidata QID or exact official-source verification; a same-name match alone is never identity proof.
  3. For Movies, ORP uses its strong movie identity contract (Wikidata/page identity and title/year safeguards) so an exact existing movie is opened or marked Already on ORP instead of also being offered as a new addition.
  4. If ORP is unsure, it should keep the candidate separate rather than silently merging identities.

Sort published reviews on a profile

  1. Open a Business, Person or Movie profile that has published reviews.
  2. Use the review sorter to choose Most helpful, Newest, Oldest, Most upvoted or Most downvoted.
  3. Most helpful is a vote-based ordering aid. Helpful/up/down votes do not establish whether a statement is true, credible or a moderation finding.

Understand confirmed language counterparts and People portrait reuse

  1. English, Spanish and Persian are independent public apps with separate reviews, ratings, replies and private/community records. A confirmed identity bridge can link equivalent Business, Person or Movie profiles without merging those records.
  2. For People, an exact confirmed counterpart—normally backed by the same Wikidata identity—can reuse an eligible Public Domain, CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA portrait. ORP copies the bytes into the destination app’s own local storage and preserves source, license and attribution.
  3. Name similarity alone never authorizes a People bridge or cross-language portrait sharing. Private data, reviews and participation records are not copied between language apps.

Policies, privacy & transparency

3 practical guides

Find the rule for a feature

  1. Open the Policies & Transparency hub.
  2. Choose the reviewer, business, article, moderation, evidence, appeal, community, privacy or terms page that matches the activity.
  3. Follow the specific policy before submitting content or a moderation request.

Read a business Trust & Transparency report

  1. Open the business from the business directory.
  2. Open its Trust & Transparency report/link on the public profile.
  3. Review aggregate verification, moderation and integrity signals. Private evidence, emails and internal moderation notes are not exposed there.

Contact ORP when the Help Center is not enough

  1. Check this Help Center and ask ORPy first for workflow questions.
  2. For a problem that needs direct ORP attention, open Contact. You may attach a JPG, PNG, WEBP or PDF when it helps explain the issue.
  3. Describe the page/workflow and provide only the non-sensitive details ORP needs. Contact/Feedback submissions can privately include IP/session-journey and email-linked participation context for support and abuse prevention; private URL query parameters are stripped.
  4. ORP replies from the secure Admin Messages workflow include your original message so you can see exactly what the reply refers to.

ORP TODAY

Three review areas + discovery collections

ORP keeps distinct review areas for Businesses & websites, public/professional People, and Movies. It also provides discovery collections such as Books and Trailers that connect public information back to the relevant profiles. Owner, representative and moderation privileges depend on the profile type; being listed never means ORP endorsement.

PEOPLE REVIEWS

Public & professional people

Find or add adult public/professional profiles, submit a Direct Experience review or Public Assessment, join conversations under reviews, and allow the person or an authorized representative to respond. When a name is missing from ORP, search can show verified public identities from Wikipedia/Wikidata and only offers candidates confirmed as human.

BUSINESSES, WEBSITES & OWNERS 🏢🌐

Manage received reviews from one place

Verified owners can open Reviews of Your Businesses from My Content, see each review and its conversation, publish or manage the Business response, and report/dispute when appropriate. Report history and administrator resolution notes remain tied to the business.

MOVIE REVIEWS 🎬

Detailed movie ratings

Alongside the overall score, a Movie review can optionally rate Story, Acting, Direction, Cinematography, and Music / Soundtrack. Published detailed ratings feed the profile averages when available.

BOOKS, AUTHORS & DISCOVERY 📚

Discovered books enrich People profiles

ORP can discover books connected to People through public bibliographic sources, show them on the author profile and collect them in Books. Records can link to Open Library and, where useful, Amazon. Covers are enriched from supported public sources when available. Books is a discovery feature connected to People; it is not currently a fourth review directory.

RECENT SHARED CAPABILITIES
💬Conversations & repliesOne review per person/profile; replies form a separate conversation. Your replies—including official Business responses—can be managed from My Content. Permanently deleting a review also removes replies attached to that review. 💾Draft-safe formsProtected review, reply and Add Business/Person/Movie forms save normal fields in the browser tab and keep the secure session active. ORP Shield verifies most normal submissions with first-party checks; elevated-risk traffic may receive a local proof and Turnstile is reserved as a bounded fallback. File inputs must be reselected after a full reload. 📖Books directoryBrowse books connected to ORP People, search by title/author/publisher/ISBN and jump back to the author profile. Open Library can preserve bibliographic history even when a title is no longer commercially available. 🧭Live discoveryDirectories use live search. Movies adds public suggestions for titles not yet on ORP and can be explored by type; People can offer verified public identities when no matching ORP profile exists. 🔎Identity-safe Add / FindBusiness, People and Movie add flows reconcile ORP results with public suggestions before presenting an entity as new. Businesses use the normalized domain; a public People suggestion is treated as an existing person only after exact Wikidata or official-source identity verification; Movies retain their strong QID/page/title-year identity contract. A same-name People match alone is never enough. ↕️Review sorting on every profile typePublished Business, People and Movie reviews can be ordered by Most helpful, Newest, Oldest, Most upvoted or Most downvoted. Voting helps order visibility; it is not an ORP finding about truth, credibility or a moderation outcome. 🌐Confirmed language bridges & portrait reuseEquivalent EN/ES/FA profiles can link through a strong confirmed identity without merging reviews or private data. For People, an eligible reusable portrait can be copied to an exact confirmed counterpart and stored locally with source, license and attribution; name similarity alone never authorizes photo sharing. 📚Email education & updatesEmail-based participation can start an optional daily educational guide: one part about your activity and one introducing an ORP feature you have not yet seen. Optional notices can also cover new activity on profiles you previously engaged with and important feature changes. ✉️Secure Contact & FeedbackContact accepts JPG/PNG/WEBP/PDF attachments and Feedback accepts screenshots. Messages are stored for the team in a secure admin inbox, and ORP replies include the original user message for context.
Privacy & email control: Educational emails, profile-activity notices and feature announcements are optional and can be controlled from Email Preferences or unsubscribed. Essential verification, secure-access, security and required moderation emails remain separate.
