Reports are not automatic takedowns

A business report starts a moderation process. Reviews are not removed merely because a business disagrees with them.

Context matters

Moderators may consider statements from both sides, supporting evidence, verification status, previous revisions, relevant platform integrity signals and the specific policy reason raised.

Possible outcomes

A review may remain published, be hidden or removed, or stay under review while more information is requested. We may also request edits when a narrower correction can resolve a policy issue. In a disputed case where a human moderator concludes that submitted supporting information does not sufficiently substantiate material claims, ORP may retain the review publicly for transparency while excluding its star value from the business rating and displaying a clear moderation finding. Such findings should be based on the moderation record, not merely on the fact that a business complained or a single attachment was rejected.

Transparency

Where appropriate, the public review may show moderation-related status information such as a business dispute, evidence review or a resolved moderation outcome. Private evidence and sensitive account information are not published through that timeline.

Human judgment

Automated risk and fraud signals are tools for prioritization and investigation. They do not automatically establish whether a review is true or false.
