Open Review Platform is designed around minimal-friction, email-link access rather than public user accounts.
Information we process
Depending on how you use the platform, we may process names, email addresses, review content, business information, replies, reports, moderation communications, technical security information and evidence you voluntarily submit.
Email addresses
Email addresses are used for confirmation, secure access, notifications, moderation and abuse prevention. They are not displayed publicly as part of a review. The application uses encrypted and/or hashed representations for sensitive identity functions where appropriate.
Private evidence
Evidence submitted for disputes or verification is intended for authorized moderation use and is stored outside the public web directory. Do not upload more sensitive information than is reasonably necessary.
Website analytics and IP addresses
When a verified business installs Open Review Analytics, the service may process visitor IP address, country, browser, device, operating system, referrer and page information for traffic reporting. Readable IP addresses are encrypted at rest and are available only inside the authorized business analytics area. Readable IP data is automatically removed after 30 days; one-way hashes may remain with short-term analytics records so exact-IP filtering, uniqueness and abuse controls can continue without retaining a readable address indefinitely.
Security and abuse prevention
We may process IP-derived hashes, device identifiers, rate-limit data, audit logs and security events to prevent fraud, spam, unauthorized access and manipulation.
Retention
Raw website-analytics events are currently retained for up to 90 days, while readable encrypted IP values are cleared after 30 days. Aggregated traffic statistics may be retained longer. Website-health checks and other operational/security records are periodically cleaned according to platform maintenance rules. Other records may be retained while necessary to operate the service, preserve moderation history, comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
