Community Guidelines 🤝

Use Open Review Platform to share genuine consumer experiences, provide useful business responses and resolve disputes professionally. Do not use the platform for threats, stalking, hate, impersonation, spam, coordinated rating manipulation, fraudulent evidence, malicious disclosure of private information or attempts to interfere with platform security.

Criticism can be direct and negative when it reflects a genuine experience. The purpose of these rules is not to protect businesses from criticism; it is to keep the conversation useful, authentic and safe enough for both sides to participate.

OpenTalk discussions

OpenTalk is intentionally open-ended: there are no mandatory topic categories. Consumers, reviewers, webmasters, suppliers and verified businesses may discuss products, services, industries, reputation, websites or broader business issues. Hashtags can be used for discovery.

Do not flood OpenTalk with repetitive promotion, automated reposts, vote manipulation or copy-pasted solicitations. Affiliate/referral links are not allowed in OpenTalk posts or replies; suspicious links may be held or rejected before publication. A verified business may participate as a business, but the badge must not be used to impersonate customers or manufacture grassroots support.

Replies, votes, follows and reposts

Reply to ideas rather than attacking people. Likes/dislikes, follows, bookmarks, polls, reposts and quote reposts are community tools, not mechanisms for coordinated manipulation. Votes, reposts, poll choices and social relationships are tied to the verified OpenTalk identity where required. ORP may rate-limit, reverse, hide or investigate activity that appears automated or abusive.

Images, links, polls and context notes

Images and external links must follow the same safety rules as text. Image uploads can be screened by AI and/or held for human moderation. Poll choices must not be used for harassment or manipulation. Community context notes should add useful clarification or supporting sources rather than become a second channel for personal attacks. Suspicious, affiliate, phishing or scam links are prohibited.

Moderation

ORP administrators can hide, reject, lock, pin or remove discussions and replies, review reports, and block abusive participants. Automated screening may hold uncertain content for human review, but legitimate criticism is not a policy violation merely because it is negative.

Business Updates and followers

Verified Business Updates should be concise, truthful announcements rather than disguised reviews, harassment or repetitive advertising. Following a business is voluntary and confirmed by email; follower information is private and must not be used to manufacture public popularity signals.
