I had a very disappointing experience with Madeleine PETIT and the notary office Petit et Toussi Notaires.
I contacted them regarding the legalization of my will and initially received responses and requests for information. As part of the process, I was asked to provide highly sensitive personal information, including my Social Insurance Number (SIN).
After they received my information, communication suddenly stopped. I sent several follow-up emails over a period of several days and received no response or explanation.
I find this extremely concerning and unprofessional, particularly because of the sensitive nature of the personal information they requested from me. When a professional asks a client to provide information as sensitive as a SIN, I believe they have a responsibility to communicate clearly, explain why the information is required, and respond promptly to concerns about the client's file and personal data.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Madeleine PETIT or this notary office. I would advise anyone considering their services to be very cautious about providing sensitive personal information and to make sure they clearly understand how their information will be handled before proceeding.
