Are Expectations Around Owner Replies Getting Too High For Restaurant Reviews?

Should people now reasonably expect owner replies from restaurant reviews, or is that still more of a bonus that depends on price and situation?

A rating is easy to read, but the rules behind that rating can have a huge effect on how trustworthy it feels.
